North Shore Saloon Special EventsCLEMENTE EXHIBIT AT NORTH SHORE UNVEILED
PITTSBURGH, PA (September 8, 2011) -- The brand new Clemente Exhibit At North Shore, located inside the North Shore Saloon right across from PNC Park, was unveiled today during a media/VIP open house event. This special collection of photographs, memorabilia and video that celebrates the life and career of Pirates Hall of Fame outfielder Roberto Clemente is a collaborative effort between Mike Pitterich, who owns and operates the North Shore Saloon, and Duane Rieder, the owner and curator of the Roberto Clemente Museum in Lawrenceville.
The Clemente Exhibit At North Shore, which will become a permanent part of the North Shore Saloon (208 Federal Street), will officially open to the public tomorrow -- Friday, September 9. Fans who would like to experience this lasting tribute to The Great One can stop by any time between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays when there’s no football game at Heinz Field. Admission is $5 per person and proceeds will benefit the preservation and expansion of the Roberto Clemente Museum.
“The Clemente Exhibit At North Shore is a project embraced by the Clemente family and we’re very excited to bring it into the neighborhood,” Pitterich said. “Duane Rieder is the world’s foremost authority on Roberto Clemente’s life and career, so we could not have asked for a better partner. He’s helped us create a fantastic exhibit that will be an attraction at the North Shore Saloon for years to come.”
